New interim board for Meatco

The ministry of finance and public enterprises has announced the appointment of a temporary board for Meatco. The newly appointed board will be at the helm of affairs for six months, effective 1 September.
According to a media release, the board consists of chairperson Sakaria Nghikembua and vice-chairperson Barbara Dreyer. Other members are Joseph Andreas, Adolf Muremi, Cyprian Khaiseb, Kuniberth Shamathe, Martin Hilbert, Paterson Tjipuea, Mbakumua Hengari, Anne-Dorris Hans-Kaumbi and Meriam Nghixulifwa.
"The newly appointed members offer a wealth of experience and knowledge to steer Meatco into the future," ministerial spokesperson Wilson Shikoto said. He added that the appointment of the temporary board indicates government's commitment to bringing a variety of talent and perspectives to the leadership team of the public entity.
"This with a focus on innovation and cultivating sustainable practices while maintaining the highest standards for quality," he said.
