Namibian leaders recognised in London

Trade minister Lucia Iipumbu was honoured as the African trade and investment minister of the year at the 14th African Business Leadership Awards in London in the United Kingdom earlier this year. At the same occasion, Otjozondjupa governor James Uerikua received an award recognising his leadership and contribution to the region, while his Erongo counterpart Neville Andre Itope was awarded as the best African governor of the year.
Meanwhile, Cabinet has endorsed a decision for Namibia to host the next Commonwealth trade ministers meeting.
It directed the trade ministry to make the necessary budgetary provisions to provide transportation and security services for the Commonwealth ministers and their officials who will be attending the gathering.
