Matyayi assumes duty as City CEO

The City of Windhoek welcomed its new CEO Moses Matyayi yesterday as he officially assumed duty, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a promising vision for the municipality’s future.
Matyayi's impressive credentials include a Master of Arts degree in human resource management from the London Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom, and a bachelor of technology degree in human resources from the Namibia University of Science and Technology, formerly known as the Polytechnic of Namibia.
Prior to taking on this role, he served as the CEO of both the Otjiwarongo municipality and the Otavi town council from 2010 to 2020.
With an illustrious career in public service, Matyayi's tenure as the president of the Namibian Association of Local Authority Officials (NALAO) since 2021 further strengthened his expertise in the field.
He has also held key roles as chairperson of the Central North Regional Electricity Distributor (Cenored) board of directors and board member of the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (NBC).
