Mariental children receive school shoes
News in short
A week after visiting Monica Geingos Secondary School in Otjiwarongo, Project Never Walk Alone delivered 91 pairs of shoes in Mariental last Thursday.
This now brings the project's total donated shoes to over 10 260 pairs in seven regions, with the Zambezi Region planned as its next stop. There, the team expect to hand over 1 800 pairs of shoes.
"The handover took place at the Mariental Primary School and the kids were entertained with performances and inspirational talks by musical artists Adora and Twazis. The girls also received sanitary pads," the project's founder Tim Ekandjo said.
"The event was sponsored by the Capricorn Foundation, a real champion that has done phenomenal work in the corporate social investment space."
