Man arrested for assaulting pregnant wife

A 36-year-old man was this week arrested for assaulting his pregnant wife at Ncaute village in the Kavango West Region.

Chief inspector Raimbert Muronga confirmed the incident, which took place at a cuca shop at around 10:00 on Wednesday morning.

According to him, the suspect grabbed his wife by the neck and punched her in the face, which left her with a swollen eye.

The suspect is expected to make his first appearance in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court today.
