First Lady to hand over dignity packs

First Lady Sustjie Mbumba, who is also the president of the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), is scheduled to hand over dignity packs to teenage mothers at the Rundu Intermediate Hospital in the Kavango East Region on Wednesday.
According to a statement by the Office of the First Lady, OAFLAD's mission is to contribute to the health and well-being of children, youth and women through advocacy, resource mobilisation and strategic partnerships.
“The #WeAreEqual campaign focuses on four pillars, namely health, education, economic empowerment and gender-based violence, and collaborates with stakeholders to build a future that empowers all Africans,” it read.
“Mbumba, as president of the OAFLAD, is currently implementing initiatives under the campaign, which was launched in Namibia in August 2023. These initiatives include a regional outreach and the distribution of hygiene packs to teenage and young mothers at state hospitals in both the Kavango East and Kavango West regions."
