Cabinet has granted authorisation to the home affairs ministry to introduce stricter visa entry requirements that will affect 31 countries, including Germany, a major tourism market for Namibia.

One can understand the regulators sentiments considering the lengthy and cumbersome process for Namibians to acquire Schengen Visas. If it will backfire remains to be seen. One might hope the Schengen visa application process becomes more user friendly as a result.
