Fatal crash claims one life

A fatal car crash on Sunday at approximately 03:00 at Okombahe settlement in the Omaruru district claimed the life of one of the vehicle's five occupants.
The police reported that the driver of the double-cab bakkie allegedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn several times before landing on its side. Four of the occupants sustained minor to serious injuries.
However, Andries Maperi Dausab (55), the fifth occupant, succumbed to his injuries at the Okombahe State Clinic.
The next of kin have been informed.
Police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving and culpable homicide.
