Republikein’s Bridal Couple of the Year competition is undergoing a major change: not only will four quarterly winners qualify for the final early on, but we also have a brand-new show called 'TrouRok & Roll' featuring everything to do with weddings and marriage – with no topic off-limits – to be broadcast on our social media platforms as well as DStv and GoTV channels!

Republikein’s Bridal Couple of the Year competition has stood as the pinnacle of matrimonial celebration, capturing the essence of love, tradition and fun for more than a decade.

Held annually for the past 12 years, the competition has become a highly anticipated event, drawing couples from diverse backgrounds from across Namibia.

At its heart, the competition celebrates love, inviting couples to showcase their unique stories and personalities. Beyond the glitz and glamour, it serves as a platform for couples to share their journey towards marriage, highlighting their shared values, dreams and commitment.

This year, more so than before, the competition unfolds in stages, beginning with couples submitting their love stories and photographs. From there, finalists are selected by an esteemed panel of judges consisting of well-known figures within the community and wedding industry professionals.

To make the competition more exciting and interactive, the finalists will be given a number of challenges to capture their chemistry, while interviews will delve into their relationship dynamics.

These moments not only showcase their compatibility but also offer a glimpse into the diverse tapestry of Namibian love stories.

The final, scheduled to take place in May 2025 during the annual Tourism Expo, will mark the culmination of months of planning and excitement, where the winning couple will be announced in front of an audience of family and friends.

As always, the finalist couples will be treated to a plethora of prizes, thanks to our generous sponsors.

The competition serves as a reminder of the power of love and the significance of marriage in Namibian culture, bridging generations and traditions.
