Baby abandoned in Usakos

A seven-month-old baby who was abandoned in Usakos yesterday has been handed over to the state, pending investigations by the Namibian Police.
The baby girl was found was found lying on the ground next to a shop in the Hakhaseb location, and was taken to the Usakos State Hospital.
“The baby was handed over to a nurse. She was admitted for a medical check-up and is in a good condition. The matter has been handed over to the Gender-Based Violence Protection Unit while investigations continue,” a police report read.
