Nghixulifwa, co-accused seek immunity

The former CEO of the Road Contractors Company (RCC), Kelly Nghixulifwa, along with his two co-accused, Anna Ndoroma and Hafeni Nghinamwaami, are set to bring an application for immunity in terms of Section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Act. This follows after the state closed its case yesterday morning - some 18 years after the alleged corruption and fraud by the three defendants took place, and nine years after they made their first appearance in the Supreme Court.
Nghixulifwa and his co-accused are jointly on trial on 11 charges of fraud and corruption.
