#JustIn: Xinfeng verdict postponed
Judge Ramon Maasdorp's decision regarding the future of Chinese lithium miners Xinfeng's open-pit mine outside Omaruru is not yet ready.
The judge's ruling will be delivered on Tuesday, 13 June, at 10:00.
Mining license number 243 is involved. An unknown amount of lithium ore has already been exported from there to China.
The mine has been idle since December. The minister of mines and energy, Tom Alweendo, intends to revoke the mining license due to alleged irregularities and fraud committed during the initial application.
