#JustIn: Settlement negotiations underway in case against Meyer
The civil court case against Johan Meyer, involving the father of the late nine-year-old girl who was fatally run over on Meyer's farm in Mariental in May 2022, has been postponed to March 13. The reason for the postponement, according to a court order, is to allow time for settlement negotiations. Elias Mupolo, Hendrina Mupolo's father, is claiming more than N$5 million in damages, including alleged severe trauma and emotional shock he experienced witnessing the incident that led to the death of his daughter. Hendrina Mupolo's mother has dropped her civil claim against Meyer
