JUST IN: Late 9-year-old Hendrina's mother withdraws her case against Meyer

One of the parents of the 9-year-old girl who was allegedly run over by Mariental farmer, Johan Meyer (pictured) in May last year, withdrew from the case. The late Hendrina Mupolo's biological mother, Annemarie !Auchmus, withdrew her case against Meyer. It is now only Hendrina's father, Elias Mupolo, who is demanding more than N$10 million in damages from Meyer. Parties met in January for court-facilitated mediation and appeared again in the High Court in Windhoek this morning. Meyer allegedly bumped their daughter with his vehicle on his smallholding. She later died of her injuries in the hospital at Mariental.
