Khomas, Jiangsu ink agreement
NEWS IN SHORT
The Khomas Regional Council signed a five-year agreement last week with China's Jiangsu provincial government to deepen cooperation ties between the two.
Chairperson of the council, John Moonde, said the signing signifies the tangible impact of the existing cooperation between the two councils.
“The work plan acknowledges the extreme need to accelerate progress in friendly people-to-people contacts and cooperation in the fields of science, technology, education, culture, sports, health, trade and investment, agriculture, investment, environment protection, tourism and human resources," he said.
Khomas governor Laura McLeod-Katjirua urged sectoral heads to put the partnership to work.
