Barnard Haukambe: Quality assurance technician
Barnard Haukambe is a quality assurance technician. As part of his job, he ensures that food businesses adhere to food safety in relation to the Namibian Food Safety Act, Red Meat Act, and other international food safety standards.
“I ensure that any product that leaves Meatco to the end user, who are the consumers, is fit for purpose (quality) and is safe for human consumption.”
His love for farming inspired him to be directly involved in the food chain and to be a catalyst that can make a significant difference.
“I ensure companies penetrate lucrative markets because of their outstanding food, hygiene and animal welfare practices,” he said.
