The Erongo Business and Tourism Expo (EBTE) will host a fundraising gala dinner on 28 July.

Desire Stevens, chairperson of the organising committee, said the event holds a prominent place on the EBTE calendar and aims to raise the necessary funds for the trade show.

"In partnership with LSK Consulting and the Erongo governor’s office, we are pleased to announce the 16th edition of the Erongo Business and Tourism Expo under the theme 'Innovate, Integrate and Industrialise'," she said.

She added that the expo will focus on "encouraging regional and national economies to shift from reliance on natural resources to increased investment in manufacturing processes in order to resuscitate and grow industries for sustainable value chains."

Network hub

The annual EBTE marks sixteen years of existence as one of Namibia’s premier and leading trade, investment and networking events, connecting businesses locally and beyond.

EBTE enables businesses to converge and showcase their products and services to potential customers, partners and investors.

"We have over the years hosted diverse businesses and industries, providing opportunities for businesses to connect with potential customers, suppliers, and partners, which in most instances led to new business opportunities and partnerships," she said.

Stevens added that this year's edition will feature a focus on the fishing, maritime and mining sectors. "As part of our value promise for improved and quality exhibits, we, therefore, invite participation from all stakeholders to strengthen value chains for economic development for the region and country. "Therefore, the successful hosting of an exhibition of this repute can only be made possible with the able assistance of strategic partners like yourselves," she said.
