With regards to livestock losses, the amount for cattle increased from N$3 000 to N$5 000, N$500 to N$800 for goats, N$700 to N$800 for sheep, N$800 to N$1 500 for a horse and N$700 to N$1 000 for a pig.

Meanwhile, the amount for crop damage increased from N$250 to N$1 000 for one quarter of a hectare and from N$1 000 to N$2 500 for a hectare.

In 2022, communities received just over N$9.27 million in human-wildlife conflict offset payments, according to the 2022 State of Community Conservation in Namibia report. It said the environment ministry has paid over N$31.7 million since 2019 to offset losses caused by human-wildlife conflict.
