Human-wildlife conflict insurance on the way

Namibia Special Risks Insurance Association (NASRIA) is expanding its Special Risks Insurance services and exploring the Human Wildlife Insurance Scheme through its Agriculture Insurance Scheme. The Human Wildlife Conflict Scheme is a specialised insurance product based on Sovereign Risk Transfer aimed at transferring human-wildlife conflict risks from the government and promoting co-existence between humans and animals through adequate financial off-set the costs attributed to the conflict. In light of this, NASRIA invites interested and experienced Actuarial Consultants, experts or firms to apply for the development and design of a Human Wildlife Conflict Insurance product.
