Nored suspends defaulters’ electricity
News in short
Nored yesterday started disconnecting defaulting customers' electricity supply.
Following a notice a few weeks ago, spokesperson Simon Lukas confirmed that the electricity distributor has gone ahead with the drastic measure.
“We have started with the suspension of electricity to defaulting customers from Kunene to the Zambezi Region where we operate.” Customers who have been in arrears for 30 days or more have been affected.
“To enable Nored to continue delivering on its mandate, it is important that customers honour their commitment of paying their electricity bills on time,” the company said.
