The International University of Management (IUM) Eenhana campus is nearing completion, with an official inauguration scheduled to take place at the end of October.

The university is expected to open its doors for academic teaching and learning in January.

Construction of the Eenhana IUM campus began in 2022.

On Monday, during a media briefing in Eenhana, IUM director for marketing, communication and stakeholder engagement, Gerry Munyama, announced that this will be IUM’s fifth campus in the country.

Munyama expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Ohangwena Region for their support of the university project, noting that their dedication has been crucial in bringing their vision to life.

He said the significant expansion underscores IUM’s steadfast commitment to equipping every Namibian with the critical skills and knowledge needed to actively shape and lead a shared economy.

“With this new campus, IUM aims to transform education into a catalyst for national development, ensuring that every Namibian is empowered in the pursuit of economic and social progress, in line with IUM’s commitment to educating every Namibian child,” Munyama said.

Prosperous future

Munyama added that the Eenhana campus stands as a “powerful embodiment, a beacon of hope, progress and a catalyst for a brighter, more prosperous future for the region. Our goal is to bring educational opportunities closer to communities, empowering students to develop local solutions and drive regional economic growth.”
