SHORTS: Lighting burns woman to ashes

A 28-year-old woman from Nkonke village in the Kavango West Region died while others were injured after a hut they were sleeping in was struck by lightning early Wednesday morning. Police said the incident occurred at around 04:00 when lightning struck the hut, causing it to catch fire. The deceased, identified as Haita Johanna Nzawo, was burned beyond recognition. One of her roommates that got injured sustained burns on her back during the ordeal, police said.
