SUSTAINABLE AND STUNNING: Craftily diverse, colourful and local, Namib Studio was only established in October 2022 but has been making great strides ever since. The studio, based in Windhoek at the Craft Centre, makes traditional Oshiwambo baskets, jewellery and hampers in an array of colours, including odelela-inspired theme colours. These products are made from 100% recyclable materials, according to Namib Studio's Remember Kamati, pictured above. Namib Studio is one of the exhibitors at this year’s Namibia Tourism Expo, which kicked off yesterday at the Windhoek Country Club and Resort. For its rapid growth and environmentally-friendly approach, Namib Studio was chosen as Namibian Sun’s editor’s choice stall for the year.
