#JustIn: National symbols celebrated
Namibians from all walks of life, dressed in national colours, this morning joined the march ahead of the National Symbols Campaign at Swakopmund.
The campaign aims to enhance patriotism by educating Namibians about the importance of its national symbols.
The minister of information and communication technology, Peya Mushelenga, said the ministry has observed “a lack of adherence and respect towards the observance of correct protocols and etiquettes, particularly when it comes to the singing of the national anthem and hoisting of the national flag, which is the foundation of our national identity".
