Young girl drowns while doing laundry

An eight-year-old girl drowned on Sunday afternoon while doing laundry with her siblings along a water canal at Onhokolo village, Anamulenge constituency in the Omusati Region.
Omusati police crime investigations coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Moses Simaho, said the girl fell into the canal while washing clothes.
Simaho said the siblings tried to rescue her but could not reach her. The deceased has been identified as Monika Ndahambelela Hafeni.
