SHORTS: Father arrested for failed bid to kill son

A father from Sikondo village in Kavango West Region has been arrested after he allegedly tried to kill his 11-month-old baby boy by forcing him to consume a poisonous concoction of betadine and gentian violet solution last Sunday. Police revealed that the incident stemmed from unspecified unresolved family issues. The suspect, aged 32, is in police custody and is expected to appear in court this week. Police confirmed yesterday that the child is in a stable condition.
