Police in the Kavango West Region have launched a manhunt for a suspect who allegedly stabbed and killed a 59-year-old man at Mamono village on Sunday.
Chief inspector Raimbert Muronga confirmed the incident, which took place at around 19:30. The deceased was identified as Phillip Lirunga. His next of kin have been informed.
According to Muronga, the suspect allegedly stabbed Lirunga in his left arm and back with a traditional knife, causing serious injuries. The victim died while being transferred to Mpora clinic for treatment, he added.
Police investigations continue.
