Man killed over spilled wine
The police in the Oshana Region are hot on the heels of a man accused of a fatal stabbing at Oshakati’s Evululuko on Sunday, after the victim allegedly poured a glass of wine on his face.
The suspect then allegedly stabbed another person, who was taken to Oshakati State Hospital for treatment. The suspect is wanted by the police on charges of murder and attempted murder.
Police chief inspector Thomas Aiyambo said the incident occurred on Sunday at around 01:30 at the Teddy Bar in Oneshila, Evululuko. Aiyambo stated that the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim twice in the head.
“It is alleged that the victim poured a glass of wine on the face of the suspect, and then the fight started. The victim was transported to Oshakati State Hospital, where he was declared dead,” he said.
The police said the suspect had only been identified as 'Chickis' by Sunday morning.
An appeal was made to the public to help identify both the suspect and victim as well as provide any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect.
