Man inserts chilli in girlfriend’s vagina, kills her

After accusing her of cheating on him, a 25-year-old man inserted chilli into his girlfriend’s vagina before beating her with sticks and hacking her to death with a panga.

The incident happened on Saturday at around 01:00 at Omuyagaya village, Omuthiya district in the Oshikoto Region.

It is alleged Vihepa Tchipofi Fransisco beat his girlfriend all over her body with sticks and cut her ankles before she succumbed to her injuries.

Fransisco appeared in the Ondangwa Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday and the matter was remanded to 17 November for further investigations.

Magistrate Alice Gawanas denied bail due to the seriousness of the offence and said they fear the accused will abscond because he is a foreign national.

The State was represented by Justine Shiweda.

Oshikoto police spokesperson Inspector Ellen Nehale said the victim, Anna Kaviu Fransianu, is from Ombilambundu village in Angola.

Fransianu and Fransisco were in a relationship and lived in the same house, where they worked as domestic workers, she said.

The victim’s body has been transported to Omuthiya police mortuary for a post-mortem.
