Man caught red-handed while breaking into Tsumeb shop

A 36-year-old man was arrested while breaking into a stationery shop in Tsumeb over the weekend.
According to the police in the Oshikoto Region, the incident took place at around 01:30 on Saturday morning. “It is alleged that two male suspects cut the zinc roof of the store open and gained entrance into the building. While the suspects were still inside the shop, an intelligence operation was conducted by the Namibian Police together with crime prevention forums,” a police report read.
“One suspect was caught in action, while one other suspect fled the scene. Nothing was stolen from the shop, apart from the damage to the property.”
Police investigations continue.
