#JustIn: Inmate dies in custody
An inmate held in custody at the Wanaheda Police Station died yesterday after apparently collapsing.
"It is alleged that an inmate, aged 26, Namibian male died in the police cell after he collapsed in the toilet on at around 08h30," the police report said.
Prior to his death, the inmate had been charged with murder and grievous bodily harm.
In another incident, an operator at the Brakwater Water Treatment Plant came across a foetus after a blockage at occured at the plant.
"It is further alleged that when he removed the rubbish, he discovered a foetus, which was entangled in a toilet paper. The foetus is at a developing stage, therefor, gender is unknown and is suspected to be two to three months old. The suspect is unknown. Police investigation continue."
