JUST IN: ECN suspends two employees
The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has suspended two of its employees in connection with missing laptops.
In a statement, the ECN refers to the theft of 117 laptops, which was discovered last month. The equipment apparently went missing between November 2020 and the beginning of this year.
ECH chief Theo Mujoro said the case was being investigated internally and by the police.
All stakeholders will be contacted regarding the latest development and the public will be kept in the loop, he said.
