The Namibian Police seized drugs worth about N$1.74 million in April.
According to a press release, a total of 150 suspects were arrested in connection with drug-related crimes. Of the 150 suspects, 140 are Namibian nationals and six are Angolan nationals. The remaining four arrested suspects hail from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zimbabwe, Uganda and Zambia.
Among the drugs seized were 166 979 kilograms of cannabis worth N$1 669 793.30, 293 tablets of mandrax worth N$35 270, 147 units of crack cocaine worth N$14 700 and 39 grams of cocaine powder worth N$19 500.
