Child hospitalised after being hit by car

Seven-year-old Immanuel Sinkumba was hospitalised with serious injuries after he was struck by a car on Tuesday at Mpuma village in the Kavango West Region.
Namibian Police Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga said it is alleged that a 31-year-old driver was travelling from Nkurenkuru to Rundu when he hit the child, who was crossing the road at Mpuma village.
The boy sustained a deep cut wound on his forehead. The driver of the vehicle rushed the child to the Rupara clinic.
The boy was later transferred to the Rundu Intermediate Hospital for further medical treatment. The driver was not arrested.
