21-year-old stabbed to death in Swakop
Yet another murder has been reported in the DRC location of Swakopmund, where a 21-year-old man was stabbed to death during the early morning hours of Saturday while he was on his way home from a pub with two of his friends.
According to the incident report provided by the police, the attack occurred at around 00:53 today on Hanganeni Street, DRC.
“It is alleged that the deceased was on his way home with two friends from a pub. The deceased was reportedly walking ahead of the others and was intercepted and attacked by an unknown male suspect described as short, dark in complexion, and speaking Oshiwambo.”
The suspect was carrying a music box and was dressed in a yellow shirt, hat and shorts.
“A struggle between the suspect and the victim lasted for a while before the suspect fled the scene. The victim allegedly shouted that he had been stabbed. He stumbled for less than 10 meters before collapsing. He was declared dead at the scene," police stated.
The deceased was identified as Ui-Basen Jesley Eltino Nowaseb, and his next of kin have been informed.
“One navy blue Havaiana slip-on and a yellow denim hat, believed to belong to the suspect, along with a golden sharp object resembling a knife, were found at the scene.”
The suspect has not yet been identified.
Anyone who can identify the pictured items, witnessed the incident, or has information regarding the suspect is urgently requested to contact Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu at 081 246 4757, Detective Warrant Officer Cletius Kabuku at 081 391 0671, or the nearest police station.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
