Ndeunyema steps down as Namcor head
News in short
National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) executive for business strategy, Shiwana Ndeunyema, has stepped down as acting managing director of the company.
Namibian Sun understands that Ndeunyema, who reluctantly accepted the acting role in April amid infighting from his principals, informed the board this week that he has reconsidered his options and has thus decided to step down as acting head of the national oil company.
He was appointed to that position following the suspension of substantive managing director Immanuel Mulunga.
Ndeunyema yesterday morning elected not to comment on the matter, except saying: “Rest assured that my commitment will always be towards Namcor. Other than that, I prefer not to comment. I hope you understand".
