The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) is in a campaign to have its acting MD, Shiwana Ndeunyema, stay on as acting head of the oil and gas company after he expressed his desire to step down.
"Namcor's board of directors would like to affirm that he is currently still in the capacity of acting MD. He remains in his role overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organisation," Namcor said in a statement issued this morning.
Namcor confirmed that Ndeunyema expressed an intention to step down as the company's acting MD.
Ndeunyema was roped in to temporarily replace suspended MD Imms Mulunga following allegations of corruption levelled against him.
