Rössing Uranium’s expected life-of-mine has been extended by a decade, which means it will continue producing until 2036.
The mine has already been producing without interruption for 47 years – the longest in the world.
The managing director of Rössing, Johan Coetzee (photo), welcomed the announcement, which followed a viability study for a bank.
