Melvin Angula has been appointed as the CEO of Letshego Micro Financial Services Namibia (LMFSN), a position he assumed on 18 December 2023. With a distinguished 16-year career, Angula brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role, transitioning from the telecommunications sector.

Angula has a proven track record in spearheading digital transformation and delivering cutting-edge customer services. His success in formulating growth strategies and achieving market leadership, coupled with exceptional communication skills, has marked his career. In a statement, LMFSN said it expects that Angula's extensive experience will further enhance its micro-lending services.

One of Angula's notable achievements includes being recognised by TM Forum as a digital transformation driver in Namibia. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in the successful listing of a prominent telecommunications company on the Namibian Stock Exchange, showcasing his outstanding leadership capabilities.

Angula's educational background includes an executive MBA in business analytics from Eaton Business School in Dubai, a senior management development programme qualification from the University of Stellenbosch, and a certificate in telecommunication policy, regulation and management from the University of the Witwatersrand. He also holds a national diploma in information systems administration from the Namibia University of Science and Technology, and various technology and management certifications, which underscore his comprehensive knowledge base.

LMFSN said it looks forward to leveraging Angula's "vast expertise to enhance operational efficiency and drive strategic initiatives". His appointment reflects the organisation's commitment to innovation and growth in the micro-financial services landscape, it added.
