EXCHANGING NOTES: The African Development Bank’s (AfDB) executive director of the Southern Africa Group II Constituency, Dr João Ngimbi, visited the Development Bank of Namibia (DBN) recently as part of his consultation mission to Namibia. The objective of the mission was to provide updates on recent developments at the AfDB and to engage with member countries on the formulation of the bank’s 10-year strategy. DBN CEO Dr John Steytler shared that the local bank’s strategy for the next five years has been submitted to the finance minister for approval. The strategy is aligned to Vision 2030 and the Harambee Prosperity Plan II, and aims to position DBN as the financial partner of choice for innovative development solutions in Namibia.
