The 63rd edition of the Windhoek Oktoberfest is set for 27 and 28 October at Sports Klub Windhoek (SKW), hosted by Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL).

The star-studded line-up includes the world-renowned original Oktoberfest band from Munich, Germany, known as Die Kirchdorfer, and a special guest appearance by the Jagermeister Brass Cartel.

Adding a local twist to the mix, the line-up also features the spirited Roctober Dancers, Yola B, Riaan Smit and Gareth Harvey.

The 2023 edition promises an exciting blend of traditional German games and entertainment suitable for all ages.

Brewing joy

“It is indeed an honour to be part of this incredible celebration. This upcoming festival speaks to our purpose of brewing the joy of true togetherness to inspire a better world. I would like to invite people from all walks of life to come celebrate this joyous moment with us,” NBL managing director Peter Simons said, adding that one of the highlights of Oktoberfest is undoubtedly the diverse array of culinary delights and beverages.

“In 2023, festivalgoers can tantalise their taste buds with an expanded selection of food stalls, catering to a wide range of preferences - including delectable vegetarian and gluten-free options. The beer bar, a festival icon, will once again take centre stage, offering the traditional Festbier, exclusively brewed for the Windhoek Oktoberfest.”
