Namibian Afro-pop sensation TKB is set to ignite the music scene once again with the highly-anticipated release of their fifth studio album, 'VaNgandu', at the end of November.

Today, this dynamic duo is adding to the excitement by dropping lead single 'Win', which features Sunny Boy.

To top it all off, the single comes with a visually stunning music video shot by talented director Sodo.

In an exclusive interview with tjil, TKB opened up about the inspiration behind their upcoming album. The name 'VaNgandu' holds special significance, as it's derived from their vernacular, RuKwangali.

"On this album, we worked with a lot of artists from our hometown as we believe they are the next talents to look out for," Abby, one half of TKB, shared.

This commitment to showcasing local talent is sure to make 'VaNgandu' a memorable album with a touch of authenticity.

Diverse talent

Collaboration is at the heart of this project, with a line-up of talented artists including TopCheri, M-Gee, Neslow, Elia Da Vinci, Zhondi and more.

“The diverse range of talents featured on the album is the reason it promises a captivating musical experience.”

TKB didn't stop at working with vocal talents alone.

Behind the scenes, they enlisted the production prowess of Ally The Mini King, J Scoff and Andrew on The Beat, ensuring that 'VaNgandu' boasts a top-notch sound that will resonate with their ever-growing fan base.

Unwavering support

When asked about the secret to their remarkable longevity in the music industry, the duo was quick to express their gratitude. They attribute their success to the unwavering support of their fans and the brands that have believed in them from the start.

"This is our fifth album, and it is a thank-you present to everyone who has supported us over the years," Sai, the other half of TKB, said.

This deep sense of appreciation and connection with their fans has undoubtedly played a crucial role in propelling them to their current status as one of Namibia's most beloved musical acts.

With 'VaNgandu' on the horizon, TKB is all set to make this festive season one to remember.

“We will announce on our social media once the physical copies arrive. Watch this space.”
