One step closer to Nedbank Kapana Cook-Off grand prize

Hileni Hashipala, Johannes Haulondjamba and Petrus Nambili are one step closer to the N$145 000 Nedbank Kapana Cook-Off grand prize. Their dishes were most scrumptious in this year’s northern preliminary round, which recently took place in Ongwediva. The trio emerged victorious from a total of 55 contestants, putting their kapana skills - taste, hygiene and presentation - to the test.
The budding chefs will be joined by nine other finalists from the coastal, central and southern preliminary rounds to battle it out in the grand finale on 24 August at the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair.
The next round will be held in Walvis Bay on 6 July, followed by Windhoek on 19 and 20 July and Oranjemund on 3 August. The winner will walk away with a fully-furnished mobile kitchen worth N$130 000, N$10 000 in a Nedbank account and a N$5 000 Bakpro voucher. Entries for the remaining rounds are still open. Forms can be downloaded from the Nedbank website.
