Namibian Artist Mega Slaughterhouze calls out South African DJ for allegedly stealing and uploading his song without permission

JUST IN: Namibian artist Mega Slaughterhouze has accused Meneer Cee, a South African DJ and promoter, of falsely claiming ownership of his song ‘Pikkewyne’, uploading it without permission to platforms like YouTube and Apple Music. In a fiery social media statement, Mega expressed frustration over being ‘blocked’ from gigs and ignored by the DJ, who had previously advised against dealing with South African club owners under alleged false pretences of “sorting out bookings”.

However, the South African DJ has responded with a video posted to social media, claiming that Mega has, in fact, been credited from day one.

Firing back at the local music sensation, Meneer Cee wrote: “If you’re not going to make the necessary content to promote ‘your’ song, don’t blame the people who do. The facts are, it’s raining attention, clout and opportunity and you’re the only one with an umbrella. It’s not everyone else’s fault that you’re dry”.
