JUST IN: Unique opportunity for visual artists
Applications for the 2023 Baker's Bay artists' retreat are now open. The retreat will take place from 7 to 24 September in the Tsau //Khaeb (Sperrgebiet) National Park. This year's course will focus on the theme of creative rehabilitation.
The deadline for applications is 27 July.
Artists attending the retreat will be provided with dedicated work time and space in a unique and secluded part of Namibia that is largely inaccessible to the public. This is a unique opportunity for artists to interact with the environment as well as their fellow artists, an experience that can enhance their creative practice.
The course is part of the Art Can Transform project initiated by the OMDis Town Transform Agency in Oranjemund and sponsored and supported by the Namdeb Diamond Corporation.
