JUST IN: OYO choreographs dance piece for hearing-impaired learners
The Ombetja Yehinga Organisation (OYO) dance group is working with learners from the NISE School for the Hearing-Impaired, and choreographed a new dance piece for them. The learners will perform the piece at school on 1 June. “Thank you to everyone who was involved in making this project a success and well done to the children involved. You are stars," a post on the OYO Facebook page read.
OYO, a Namibian trust that aims to create social awareness among young people using the arts as a medium, said every child - including those living with disabilities - should have access to quality art education. This project is possible thanks to the support of the Bulgarian embassy in Namibia.
