Miss Earth Namibia 2023 Martha Kautanevali left the country yesterday to represent Namibia at the 23rd Miss Earth pageant, scheduled for Friday, 22 December, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Departing with profound purpose, Kautanevali said her journey transcends the glitz of the pageant world, and instead resonates with her heartfelt dedication to Namibian children.

In an emotional departure, she said: "As I embark on this journey, I would like to carry the love and respect the children of Namibian orphanages and vulnerable centres have shown me throughout my journey and preparations".

"To my little champs... I got you, and I dedicate this journey to you and the entire earth," she added.

Her departure wasn't just a transition to a global stage, it was a promise of support and advocacy for the marginalised, with Kautanevali exemplifying beauty, grace and a genuine commitment to a worthy cause.
