Alejandro Cooper, 12, earns historic nomination for Best Youngest African Actor at 2024 Sotigui Awards

JUST IN: Alejandro Cooper, 12 years old, who plays young Lukas in Dr Philippe Talavera’s film 'Lukas' has been nominated as Best Youngest African Actor at the 2024 Sotigui Awards in Burkina Faso. This is the first time a Namibian actor is nominated in this category, and this year’s only Namibian nomination. The Sotigui Awards are organised annually in Burkina Faso to recognise talents all over the African continent and the Diaspora.
