#JustIn: Drought relief effective in October

Government, through the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), will start rolling out a drought relief programme to the tune of N$892.4 million to affected subsistence farmers in rural areas in all 14 regions from 1 October to 31 March 2024.
This was announced today by the executive director of the OPM, I-Ben Nashandi, during the Vulnerability Assessment and Analysis (VAA).
According to Nashandi, support to affected households will depend on the size of the household. Food parcels will include maize meal, cooking oil and fish.
