The agriculture sector is set to host a memorial ceremony in honour of late president Hage Geingob in Rietfontein on Thursday, 22 February.

“Acknowledging that the president was a farmer himself with a keen interest in these sectors, the agriculture ministry will hold a memorial service in his honour at the Rietfontein National Youth Service Training Centre, commencing at 10:00,” executive director Ndiyakupi Nghituwamata said in an invitation extended to farmers and agriculture stakeholders.

Among those expected to attend are communal, resettled and commercial farmers as well as officials from the Namibia Agriculture Union, Agribank, Meatco, the Namibia Agronomic Board and the Livestock and Livestock Products Board of Namibia.
